Unconferences in the Oddest Places

We are in Philadelphia this week running a mini unconference about the future of Public Radio here in the US. Johnnie has been good enough to come in this week and observe. He will be leading a big unconference with us in a few weeks. 400+ people.

We have been doing these all over the states for our client as we tap the Wisdom of Crowds to help a big organization make smart, nimble, decisions. It’s our hope that the Public Radio system as a whole can be part of those decisions and changes.

There. Have you been wondering what blogging, unconferences, social networks, RSS, Open Source and all that actually mean to these well-established organizations?

We’ve been doing it for 4 years and hope to be doing it for at least 4 more. I think it’s time for us to share what we’ve learned.

MeshConference

I am all signed up, travel plans shuffled. All set.

Missing DemoCamp.. Again

Once again, I will be missing out on DemoCamp. I have only made it to 2 of them since the beginning as I have been traveling to get this crazy little startup of ours off the ground.

This week it’s Philadelphia. Last week we had a retreat on PEI, in a couple of weeks we are back in Washington.

Press Release or Story?

Would you rather read this, or get a press release in your inbox when the application you love isn’t going to ship anytime soon? I know which means more to me.

Bubbleshare: Impressive

BubbleShare continues to impress me. Their latest additions are really breaking ground on the web.

Watch for these guys to be acquired (if they want to be) — it’s an obvious technology buy for any web based photo company.
