All you ever wanted to know about the Travelocity Guarentee

Here is an outline of their response to a recent mistake they made and their totally crude treatment of customers. I booked a hotel under this mistake, but did not realize it was a widespread error, I was simply booking a hotel and I did not realize something was wrong until they cancelled the reservation outright.

When I contacted the hotel, they got in touch with Travelocity who seem to have told a completely false story to the hotel about the booking and how it was made.

Wow, I really won’t be able to use Travelocity with any sort of confidence now, that after countless flights, hotels and cruises have been booked with them.

Current.org - New Realities

Our recent work with NPR and the greater Public Radio system in the US has started to get some press now that we are almost done of the initial work of listening so intently to the stakeholders in this large, diverse and unique system of independent stations.

What could the future hold for Public Radio in the United States? Wow.

I hate (the first part of) travelling

If there is one thing I hate it is the first part of any trip: Packing, Going to the airport, arriving at the airport, and going through security. After security I am as happy as can be, love to head to the Maple Leaf Lounge and do some work.

This uneasy feeling causes me to go to the airport at earlier and earlier times before a trip. I would think nothing of leaving for the airport 2 hours before a domestic flight. It gives me time to take it slow, and I can make up the time on the other side of security by working with no distractions.

Tomorrow morning, I have a 6:30 am flight out of Pearson, which means I will probably be up at 4:30am, out the door at 4:45, at Pearson, boarding card in hand, at 5:45.

DemoCamp 5 - Total Success

DemoCamp5 was a huge hit. I really could not get over the amount of people who came out. With all these great demos happening, people are going to get inspired — and things will start moving in TO again.

This big hit of the night? DabbleDB was a serious treat. What a great app, brilliantly executed. It was fun just to watch them demo it. It could change everything for people who are stuck between Excel and Access right now.

DemoCamp 5

DemoCamp5 is coming up on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. See you there.

Wyatt

I don’t know Wyatt, but it’s not hard to tell he was well loved and loved in return.
